Privacy Policy
Right now, our website is primarily about connection. We believe personal information should be treated with care.
Our Approach to Privacy
Nevada Vax Watch is currently in its pre-launch stage.
We're working to find our Nevadan vaccine-injured neighbors, bring people together, share educational opportunities, learn what our community needs, and keep interested Nevadans connected as Nevada Vax Watch grows.
We collect only the information we reasonably need for these purposes.
Please Don't Send Us Medical Information
Nevada Vax Watch is not currently using this website to collect medical histories, medical records, diagnoses, vaccination records, treatment information, or other detailed health information.
Please do not submit medical records or detailed medical information through our website forms, email, social media, or other general communication channels.
If you choose to identify yourself as someone living with vaccine injury, we will treat that information with care. At this stage, however, we are simply asking you to let us know you're here.
We Do Not Provide Medical Advice
Nevada Vax Watch is a community and educational nonprofit.
We do not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, individualized medical advice, or emergency medical services.
Information shared through Nevada Vax Watch, Together Tuesdays, webinars, social media, community conversations, or this website is intended for community and educational purposes.
Information We May Collect
- Your first name
- Your last name, if you choose to provide it
- Your email address
- Your mobile number, if you choose to provide it
- Your Nevada county or general area
- How you heard about Nevada Vax Watch
- The ways you may be interested in participating
You do not need to provide more information than is requested.
Why We Collect This Information
We may use the information you provide to understand who is finding Nevada Vax Watch, begin understanding the community we're serving, keep you informed about Together Tuesdays, share educational opportunities and community updates, and learn about possible contributors and volunteers.
Submitting information does not create an expectation of individual services, case management, medical assistance, or personal follow-up.
If You Know Someone Who May Be Vaccine Injured
Please respect their privacy.
Don't give us their personal or health information without their permission. Give them ours.
You are welcome to share Nevada Vax Watch, our website, Together Tuesdays, or @nevadavaxwatch. They can then decide for themselves whether they want to contact us.
How We Treat Your Information
We intend to use reasonable care in handling the personal information entrusted to Nevada Vax Watch.
We do not want personal information collected simply because technology makes it possible to collect it.
People come before data.
Access to information should be limited to people and service providers who reasonably need it to operate Nevada Vax Watch and its communications.
The Zara Project
The Zara Project is planned for 2027 and is not currently a medical-record or survivor-story intake system.
Before inviting vaccine injury survivors to share detailed experiences, Nevada Vax Watch intends to develop appropriate processes around consent, privacy, dignity, accuracy, survivor choice, and stewardship.
Your story belongs to you.
Your Choices
You may choose not to provide personal information. You may unsubscribe from optional communications. You may request correction or deletion of personal information you previously provided, subject to information we are legally or operationally required to retain.
Contact instructions will be added when the organization's designated privacy/contact email is finalized.
Our Privacy Principle
Treat people's information the way we would want our own information treated.
With care. With restraint. With respect.
Kindness. Calmness. Wisdom.
